Saturday, July 22, 1944 1:40 pm shot down and crashed an aircraft 2 kilometers south of Boxtel in a meadow at the Mijlstraat. Ascended of airport Tuddenham destined Homburg to bomb there.
Shot by Heinz-Wolfgang Schnauffer Army IV./NJG1 component (claim 85).
All seven soldiers lost their lives.
F/O. H.F.S. Best (RCAF) is buried at the Canadian Cemetery in Groesbeek
