Johannes Cornelis Buijtelaar was a Son of Johannes Cornelis and Pieternella Middendorp.
He was born on May 28, 1915 in The Hague. Buijtelaar lived in Rotterdam.

On October 25, 1944, he was fatally wounded during an attack on Tilburg. He was hit by German machine gun fire. According to an eyewitness; a German with a white flag approached them near a small bridge at Broekhoven (Tilburg), the New Leij. Buijtelaar and a few others walked to the German soldier and were ambushed. Buijtelaar was hit in both legs and died of blood loss.
