Thursday, June 17, 1943 at 1:55 pm collapsed burning appliance down 3 kilometers northeast of Boxtel near Hall 19 in Esch. Ascended from airport Elsham Wolds bound for Cologne. Shot down by a night fighter (Hptm Manfred Meurer of 1.?NJG1). All seven British soldiers dead (5 with parachute and 2 in plane).
