Son of Hampton Harvie and of Adina Harvie (Nee Gordon) from Peterborough; Ontario; Canada.

On August 1, 1942 crashed a Vickers Wellington bomber at 02:25 pm. It was one of the 29 aircrafts lost that night who went on a raid to Dusseldorf. The plane was shot down by a German night fighter and came down near the Vossenberg in Elsendorp. The entire crew was killed: pilot F / S E.G. Robertson; Sgt. H. L. Cox; F / S L. G. Harvie; Sgt. D. H. Kurtz and Sgt. Hueston. Hueston was reburied after the war at the Canadian War Cemetery in Groesbeek.
