5 soldiers died, F / Sgt. HEY. Vey survived and was made a prisoner of war.
F / O. J.P. Monckton (RCAF) is buried at the Canadian War Cemetery in Groesbeek
Regarding the time of the crash, we expect they did not achieve the raid to Cologne.
Total volume of this attack was 427 aircraft: 145 Lancasters, Wellingtons 126, 106 Halifaxes, 46 Stirling and four Mosquitos.
10 aircraft, 3 Lancasters, 4 Wellingtons, 1 Stirling and 2 Halifaxes were lost.
Most bombs were dropped in the south-west of Cologne. Mainly houses were hit. On the ground there were 109 people dead and over 150 injured.
